Great place to take the kids for a picnic or go for a nice long walk lots of trails asphalt and wooded.. Loved it
Nice place to hike, bring the kids swimming in summer, picnic, about 100 grills and picnic tables 4 nice pavilions for parties recommend checking out the federal reservation system to reserve the pavilions. Check out Hop Brook on the web for further information. Dogs must be on a leash. Dog incidents can lead to tickets. If your dog is off a leash you are automatically at fault. Most people think it's a state park, it's actually a Federal flood control project which is also a recreation area. Title 36 enforcement rules apply. Speed limit is 10 miles per hour and enforced. The project office has summer Jr. Ranger programs and Jr. Project manager programs in the summer for children. The Army Corps of Engineers Park Rangers manage the park and posted hours are followed. Off season lots allow for walk in during the off season.
Great park took my maltese and lasha apso there they loves it!!!
Went on 4th of July, was packed but silk managed to find a shaded spot to picnic. Would have been nice to have a few playground areas for those of us with kids that couldn't manage to go to the beachy area of the lake.
Great place to have a birthday or other outdoor family event.
